man , I love you , I really thought the omni ring is small for my size , did you print it yourself ? or did you just desgin it ? I would like to see some photos of it in use if possible , and how exactly do you print this ? dont you have to split it in parts ? because surely my ultimaker 3 cannot print something this big in one go.

also , loading the file into cura , gave me a tiny tiny model , have a look : http://imgur.com/a/eoUTy

I know I can scale it , but I dont know how much , any suggestions ?

am wondering if you can split this ring into parts to be possible to print it on normal consumer printers.

thanks for your efforts , they are much appreciated.

I have posted videos of us using the Omni on my facebook page and have had several "larger" friends inquire about using it as a means to lose weight because it looks so fun. My concern is the embarrassment if they can't fit, as I do feel the ring is very small. I am 160 lbs with 30" waist and there is not a lot of room to play with, it is not a large ring. But I admire anyone wanting to get into shape, and if this helps them so be it. Making fun of an overweight person trying to get fit is like making fun of an unemployed person at a job fair. I know people with good 3d printers, I'll see if we can give this a try, thank you for the post.

  • HEY!!! SORRY ..I was not laughing at overweight people! I was laughing at the pathetic 3d model that doesn't take any of the internal electronics into consideration (the stuff that tells what direction you are pointed).

    gahh

Internal electonics? How about the basic ability to attach it to anything? Even if the ring is larger, it has no way to connect to the support posts, and the support posts aren't even angled properly to accept that attachment if it was present. I get that it's supposed to be a joke, but there's not enough of a reason to take it seriously for me to find it funny that it's not being serious.
