Can this piece of the harness be rotated?

We tried to set up the Omni last night, but ran into trouble with the harness frame:

The piece that the harness frame is supposed to slide onto seems backwards:

The main harness piece seems correct (both sides are mirror images of each other); it is just the one little part that the harness frame needs to slide onto that is facing the wrong way. It looks like there might be a way to rotate it around (maybe by using the big knob on the outside?), but we couldn't figure out a way to do it. Is it possible? If so, any tips for what we might have missed?
Thanks in advance!

I took out my harness to take a look. While it seems like it theoretically is just a matter of unscrewing things and fitting them back together in the proper direction, from the fiddling I've done with them, trying to get the proper angle on the screws with a regular screwdriver is more likely to end up stripping the screw heads.
This is absolutely a manufacturer defect, and specifically the type of thing that likely has had Virtuix retract their international shipping intentions. Get them to ship you a new harness, and use the box they send it in to ship it back to them so that maybe they can fix it and someone else can use it.
It is technically POSSIBLE to use the Omni without that back support bar. It will generally track your movement correctly, but it is super unlikely that you will be able to move naturally until you get that bar across the back attached properly. I'd recommend just taking it off completely for now, and making sure that your foot movements are getting tracked properly in TravrTO so that you're ready to jump in properly as soon as you get that harness replaced.5 -

Wow, this is terrible Jonpol. We will send you a new harness right away. This mistake is so grave it's not even on our 100-point inspection list, but we'll be sure that this never happens again.5
