Mine is still working fine. As insurance, I backed up all of Steam and previous versions of games just in case one of them do something to break compatibility -- that's how I was able to play Fallout 4 VR again after it updated.
-
That's interesting. They're much lighter too.
-
Does grand theft auto 5 work?
-
@flamaest Not sure, but the question then becomes how can we use this with the Omni to make compatibility better? No idea. I'll try playing with it, though.
-
I'm curious too. Want to try this method myself for the Rift.
-
Thanks again, EVOL, for making this method. Only by using the keyboard mode for Skyrim does one appreciate how much better EVOL's method feels. It's more responsive, accurate, and analog speed is so much better!
-
Whew! That was nerve wrecking! Luckily the 1.1.31.0 exe swap worked and Fallout 4 is working again. Thank GODDDD! I backed up the game literally the day before the 1.2 update hit.
-
@EVOL By any chance is Fallout VR still working for you? Wanted to confirm if it's just me.
-
Fallout 4 VR crashes as of the last update with input emulator beta. Really unfortunate. Anyone got their Omni working with the latest update?
-
Looks like it got taken down again. I didn't see anything worth flagging, though.
-
Thanks for saving the actual experience for me. Here's a simple pros and cons: Pros: + Longer play session than OG shoes! I've used them for up to an hour and didn't experience the toe-numbing feeling I usually got. I feel I can play for hours now.…
-
@flamaest Just finished testing it, but since you posted a review first but it got reviewed would you like to post a new one? I'll post mine after yours, only fair.
-
Thanks, but mine is coming in tomorrow, and I would prefer to test it myself first before seeing any review just to remain as unbiased as possible.
-
Did you include certain "bad" words? It may have gotten flagged because of that.
-
Have to test them first to be able to compare them against the Omni shoes. They should make the experience better, though. The Omni shoes lack a lot of support vs. normal shoes and my feet start to feel sore at around the 1 hour mark. The overshoes…

I'll post a quick review when it arrive. It's a simple thing, but could make a big difference with comfort. Even with aftermarket insoles, my limit is around 1 hour before the tip of my feet begin to feel sore. These should help with that. Woot! Woo…

Probably, but at least we have keyboard mode to make it work Thanks to the software engineer(s) who made that option! I think SUTEKIB gave them/him a shout-out in a Fallout 4 (original) vid years ago.
-
Skyrim VR is working in keyboard mode in the Omni software combined with the SteamVR beta (haven't tested non-beta yet) along with motion controller (Touch). Fallout 4 VR still needs EVOL's method; it won't work with keyboard or gamepad mode alone. …
-
@EVOL Someone got it working! Let's hope he responds to setup question.
-
Seems like it. Fallout never had this crash problem that I can remember when it lunched. Sorry, have to sleep -- it's past midnight already.
-
Makes sense. The other guy has been silent since March 16th.
-
matzman666? I guess this problem is his to solve. He released updates for Fallout 4 VR soon after it launched, so maybe he'll do the same again.
-
Really? I'll test it again soon.
-
I was talking about the "steamvr openvr-inputemulator-temporary" beta option in the steamvr properties, by the way.
-
It's still working for Fallout 4 VR, which is strange because it's from the same developer. I haven't tested it with any other game besides Pavlov, which it won't work, sadly.
-
Thank you so much! The problem seems to be open vr inputemulator that's causing the game to crash before starting. Changing the Steamvr properties to beta or none will get the game working, though. P.S. TheWaveVR looks cool. Hope you had fun.
-
@EVOL Any luck, sir?
-
No luck here. Hope someone can make it work.
-
@THET1K Cool! Welcome! We're a club of three members!!! Woot! Woot!! Woot!!! Thanks for sharing and have fun!

Update 3: The 30 Miles Club! (Member: 1) Greetings fellow Omni-enthusiast! It's been a tough road, but hitting the 30 miles mark feels great! My journey continues South, and it was quite a shocker -- the place was radiated beyond imagined. Don't le…
