Haptic Feedback on the Baseplate of the Omni

So I was thinking about how the biggest complaint about the Omni is that it is too slippery. One thought was that the Omni could have haptic feedback similar to the steam controller touch pads. By doing this, the user has some stimulation in the feet that sort of mimic friction, without having to change the resistance of the treadmill surface. Any thoughts?
