Is there a limit to how often you can use the omni treadmill?

Like if I used it 4 hours a day 365 days per year, would it break down?

If you step to hard, does it have the potential to decrease its lifespan?

I assume it depends partly on one's weight.

    From the FAQ though:

What is the life span of the Omni?
The Omni surface and shoes are not coated, but are made of a solid low-friction material. Therefore, there is minimal surface wear and tear. On the contrary, use of the Omni surface and shoes create micro-grooves that improve the low-friction characteristic of the Omni over time.

I would assume that you would need to buy new Omni Shoes like you would any other running shoe, even if the low friction pads on the bottom of the shoes are fine I would imagine the rest of the shoe would wear out like any other shoe. So perhaps a pair a year?

@Tomek already posted the FAQ but another thing worth mentioning is that the Omni is a passive system there are no moving parts so there is really nothing to break. So i would think it would last for some time. At least I hope it would.
